After choosing a basic job, players advance along the job tree, and eventually have to choose between two paths.
Archer
* Wondering Archer
o Apprentice Archer
+ Imperial Commander
# Imperial General
+ Expert Archer

Knight
* Wondering Knight
o Apprentice Knight
+ Vagabond Swordsman - high grade offensive skills but low defensive skills.
# God of Sword
+ Commander - lacks in offense but has high grade defensive skills with much health.
# General
Magician
* Scholar
o Literary Person
+ Hermit - Deals high amounts of damage with magic as well as AoEs (Area of Effect attacks)
# Ascetic
+ Chairperson of Joong-Bang - Healing, buffs and revival skill.
# Military Advisor
3rd Job change has not yet been added to KalOnline. (Imperial General, God of Sword, Ascetic, etc.)
Quests
Like many MMORPGs, NPCs often provide a player with quests. These quests are not necessary to proceed in the game, but completion gives the player some sort of reward, such as experience or currency. They are divided into three categories:
